Karawara is focused on its Environmental, Social & Corporate Governance (ESG) responsibilities to build a strong, forward looking company. Our goals are:

  • Enable cleaner products – DMS key to cleaner fuels.
  • Make use of clean processing – Two step crushing process, magnetic separation, no chemical by-products.
  • Seek all environmental approvals – Approvals in place, strong relationship with EPA.
  • Respect traditional owners – Native title approvals and aboriginal archeology preserved on site.
  • Work with local landowners – Strong relationships and all access arrangements in place.
  • Create local jobs – Skilled local labour will be used in mining operations.
  • Encourage local investment – Millions of dollars to be spent locally for over a decade.
  • Build community engagement – Community Liaison Officer to be appointed.
  • Encourage diversity – Female CFO and diversity focus throughout company.
  • Rehabilitation – Continuous rehabilitation through mine life to native vegetation to create CO2 store.
